Greetings! To begin, I'd like to say how happy I am to be a small working part of this wonderful website. I have enjoyed visiting The Celtic Connection since it's very early days (have I really been here for over 10 years now??), and it has been both amazing and pleasurable watching it grow. I'm very proud to call this place my second home. The others that I am lucky enough to work with here have been my greatest source of encouragement and I couldn't ask for a better group of people.

I have found a wealth of valuable information here, but more importantly I have met some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and have forged some very strong, lifelong friendships.  Something about this place drew me in and held me tight since the very first time I visited, and I hope that you will feel the same.

I was born and raised in Southern California and still live about 20 miles from my birth town.  I'm married to a wonderful man for 25+ years, and am the mother of 2 sons ages 24 and 20 years old.  If all children could be like them, I'd have a dozen more!  They are a true joy to raise, and are turning into very nice young men.  The other two great loves in my life are my 13 year old Siamese cat named Angelo, and the most recent addition, a 5 month old Siamese/Burman mix kitten named Asia. I lost my little pug Jade last year when she unexpectantly died, and my life has had an empty hole ever since. However, the joy and laughter she brought me in her 7 short years will carry with me for the remainder of my life.   Life without animals is a lonely life indeed, and I can't imagine not having animals with me always.  They are a constant source of undying devotion, pure unconditional love, and always a bright spot in my day.

As far as my religious beliefs go, I'll be totally honest and tell you that I am about as UN-religious as they come, but I am a fairly spiritual person, and yes.... I do believe it is possible to be spiritual without being religious. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying that I don't believe in a higher power. Quite the opposite actually.  I very much believe in a higher power. The first time I looked into the eyes of my infant first born son made me a firm believer that there is a power greater than myself.

I wasn't raised in a religious household, but my parents made sure we had a spiritual influence throughout our lives. I have never felt comfortable in a structured type of religion, but I sort of wandered aimlessly for many years trying to make myself feel comfortable in it.   However, a number of years ago, I finally came to the conclusion that religion and I will most likely never get along, therefore I choose not to follow any particular religion, and prefer to walk my own path.

Now that you know a little bit about me, please come inside and introduce yourself.  We're all anxious to get to know you.  If this is your first time visiting The Celtic Connection (or your 100th time) pull up a chair, kick your shoes off and make yourself at home.

Love and laughter,
Silverhands
