Hi everyone, you may not remember me but I went under the name of Odbe here quite a few years ago. For those who do I apologise for the shedding of pink fluff. At that time I thought I found in warm fuzzy Wicca my destiny/lifelong faith/goddess-chosen path etc. but I gradually became more eclectic and less misty-eyed.
I now know my enquiries had just begun and I'm interested in a broader scope of paganism, largely totemism, earth and animal related magic, chaos-magic and liberally applying eclecticism without becoming a cultural tourist.
I returned here because I want a more academic knowledge of Wicca and neopaganism. I feel they are my roots and I want to be able to explain them clearly to other people, but my definitions are fuzzy and it seems like the New Age movement has leaked into itself all over the place. With a scatterbrained knowledge of general history, I want to find out as much fact about Wicca and its history as possible, and I remember this forum as an excellent (and friendly and entertaining) resource.
