So scrolling thru some of the older posts I diddn't seem to come across anything that explained or answered this question.
Where did the ugly witch hovering around a couldrun come from? I mean, growing up in a Christian home I was allways told that whitches were real, ugly, evil, things. I mean thats what they made it seem like. I was scared of witches as a kid, until I got older and ended up running streight into a wall of fate. I have noticed that, in the US quite a few people still have this image in their head of what a witch looks like. At least in my part of the country. So to make it simple where did the general hollywood idea of a witch, like the PIC above come from?
