I have heard so many stories about them becoming almost like a dog...following you, nuzzling you.

Good on you, old bud!

I prob'ly would have just eaten it.

As an up date. I have seen her several times, still walks with a limp. But seems to be healthy and persued by a big buck
Thats week she was in the front yard looking for apples. I went out with a few and she came about three feet from me. Couldn't get her to come closer which is probably a good thing. So I droped the apple, she picked it up and stepped off.

dm I feel that you have made a loyal friend,I find it amazing that your deer has remembered you
after going back to it's wild life. Goes to show ya how smart deer can be. Plus giving her food helps to keep her coming back.

I've always had a connection with the widlife in the area. I've got deer un naturally close to me, birds landing on my hands, An aboundance of other animals coming into the yard to rest or feed off what ever plantes are growing. It really is remarkable.
