That's what I decided to do. Everything I'm using are items I already have. Thanks for the advice.

Well, I'm actually satisfied with the way the blackberry dye turned out. I wrapped it with some silver chain at the base. Tomorrow I'll figure out how to attach a piece of clear calcite with some copper wire.
