As you read the Essene books, it helps to remember that in the original language the word translated as Angel referred to a messenger and was used to describe someone or something with a message for you. It does not refer to a blond being with wings! For example, the Angel of the Earth was simply that which brought you messages from the Earth.
Likewise, the word that was translated as Satan, actually just referred to something that went against the way of the Divine. Thus, a body that was possessed by Satan, was simply a body that a sickness or disease had entered. Illness was not the way of the Divine. Satan was cast out by healing the body and returning it to good health. Essenes, like Jesus, were well known for their ability to heal and cast out sickness.
When you focus on the actual meanings behind the words, the true beauty and wisdom of these ancient writings will shine through!
