*doubles checks post*

Chaotic Neutral?  Do you have any idea how broad that alignment is?

As for newcomers, it's all been said so far.  Take it all with a grain of salt, and try not to read too much into other people's posts unless it's obvious they're being serious.

And if they are being serious and it offends you, shoot them a PM.  That way you minimize derailing otherwise meaningful threads.

Unless it's T.I.  Those threads pretty much exist to be derailed.

And as an outlet for Arn's beating-people-with-her-Cane-Of-Beating* addiction.

*for those interested, Arn's Cane of Beating is treated as a +5 Returning Greatclub of Impact.

I am here to learn, mock, teach, hang out, and promote the worship of Pizza and Pepsi.

Reminds me of this--

From curiosity: But on the flip side - if you haven't looked around for yourself before you come asking a question, the people here can smell it, like lions scenting fear, and they will pounce.

Likewise, posts with horrible grammar and spelling are the death knells of a hundred wounded gazelle . . .

;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

This is all highly amusing. I wonder if we're scaring the noobs yet.
Someone is going to yell at me for being a bad influence.  :-p

I wouldn't say you are a bad influence. Besides, if they haven't started yelling yet, they probably won't.

And if they do? Ignore them until they either go away, or stop being noobs.

I think the key is just being strong in your beliefs and taking everything with a grain of salt...cherish what you find useful and what you don't, just let it go...no need for drama, in my opinion.

The whole OP is missing something. A harsh response to newcomers, who want in on any community, is not only common, it's appropriate, and it gives the Community in question some idea of the measure of a person. In this way, communities protect themselves. The fact that this still happens here , gives me a glimmer of hope for this site after all.
