My question: What if there is someone that does not like you (which is very OK) and makes their comments very clear (not that this has happened)....clearly gets annoyed by innocence of people trying to learn...will you all understand.

By the way, I made a point of reading the post on this same subject on'Newbies' section.

Anyhow....you have been great and patient up until now!!! Thank you
No problem...as for everyone being ok with asking questions...I can only speak for myself...someone once said "There is no such thing as a stupid question." I think that by teaching someone, the teacher learns things themselves...kind of a symbiotic relationship lol.

Who is Silver Ravenwolf?

An author who tend to write books on Wicca/Witchcraft leaning toward the fluffy side while aiming them at teens. If you want entertainment read her, if you want real substance don't.

:'( If only an Administrator had approved my account earlier, I could have spared myself a lot of time learning.  Instead, though, I used Youtube and whatever sources I could get a hold of to educate myself on Wiccan and Paganism alike.  However, this is a very informing topic which would've helped had I not already learned it.  There is something that I wish to know though, but I will post that in a separate topic specifically created for said question.

A pleasure to have read this topic.

You always need more than one view point and more than one source. Never thought of Youtube as a source..but okay..lol.

There is a lot to discover there, in fact.  I could give multiple sources of information from there.

Thank you very much for this thread. I didn't know where or how to start and read plenty of places where people have said they are tired of answering the same questions over and over so it makes you scared to ask anything in case you offend with your questions. This is perfect! Thanks again!

Actually, I'm pretty sure kin to the Piltdown Man were the original practitioners of Wicca.  Unfortunately, this cannot be proven, as the Piltdown Man is now extinct due to the fact that all but a few were accused of witchcraft and burned as the stake during the Burning Times, where over nine million Wiccans perished, many of them these missing links.  There are a few covens of these ancient creatures left in remote areas around the world, and it is said that this is the "witch cult" Gardner was initiated into and is the roots of Wicca as we know it today.

NEVER AGAIN TEH BURNING TIMES!!!!!!!11one

FW,
Descendant of the Wiccan Bigfoot
Actually, Piltdown man was a fake, cobbled together out of bits of ape skulls, with a human jaw. So he couldn't have been a Wiccan. The Archaeologist who put the stunt together may have been a Discordian though. What a fantastic prank to get away with. As for there being a few Covens of these ancient creatures left in remote areas, unless you're counting Orang Utans, or Bonobos, I think they've retreated into the same mists that Conan Doyle's Cottingly Fairies did.

YouTube might be a good idea, but I prefer to stick with old fashioned books. I easily can get tired of looking at the screen, but never of reading a book.

Thank you for the advise. I have been interested in this religion for a good long time but I never knew how to go about geting into it. My dad is against it, he thinks this is a devil worshiping religion, but I know better. I have always felt connected to nature. Its my home. It is where I am most at peace. I will continue to read about this path, and I have already got a book about it.... I started typing this before I went to work, so now I dont really recall what I was about to say. But I will let everyone know how I Progress. And Thank you again.  :)
