Yet another Newbie
« on: December 16, 2010, 10:15:50 AM »

Hi all,

I am new to this forum, I have been reading the information on this site for several days now.

What made me check out Wicca?  I have always had a love and deep respect for nature, animals, wildlife, environment etc.  10 years ago my first husband died suddenly and unexpectedly, my garden, I believe saved my sanity, and I experienced a peace within my garden, like I have never experienced before, I cannot find words to describe it.  Even visitors commented on the tranquility.   I eventually remarried and lost the way somewhere, recently my adult son died and I just feel the need to find that something special.

Whilst I am English I now live in Belize, Central America and books are very difficult to come by here, I do intend to order some from this site.  I have checked out many sites on the internet and most seem to push forward spells, which for a newcomer I find a little scary.  I feel comfortable with this site and hope to learn a lot and make some good friends.  I will have to follow Wicca in a solitary fashion, I don't believe there is anything relating to Wicca here.

Thank you for reading.

You'd be amazed at where Wicca can be found.

Check out Witchvox.  It should have some resources for you.

Also, use the Recommended Reading Lists in the Newbie Haven (or is it Wicca Q&A?).  Order those books online, from here, or Amazon, or Barnes and Noble, or wherever.

Welcome!  Wish I had some sort of advice or input for you, but I don't :/

I may be a Christian, but I'm not going to shove my faith down your throat.  There's a difference between religion and faith, and I'm tired of cults trying to claim they are a religion.
