New here, and like what I see
« on: July 05, 2014, 06:06:41 PM »

Hello all -
I've been researching who I am for a long time. I come from a large family, and have known I am different than everyone in my family.  I am unliked because I am honest, and I always search for truth and honesty, and realism. I was raised catholic, but have not practiced it for decades. Some aspects of the religion are by habit, what was inbred in us growing up.  Now, being married for nearly 30 years with 3 girls, I am raising them to be themselves as long as they don't hurt themselves or others. My husband and I encourage them to do what they like, and we've never taken them to any church. We feel they can learn about every religion, or not, and decide their own paths.  I've always felt alone not knowing why I am the way that I am, and not knowing has prevented me from searching why. Finding a place such as this site has enabled me to be amongst others I assume are just like me. That is comforting to me.  As I learn more, the more I will be able to contribute to conversations, as a lot of it is still new to me.

Welcome to TCC Louise. We have a pretty good search function here. If you can't find what you're looking for through that, feel free to ask, someone will be able to answer your questions or direct you to where the answers can be found. Mean while, enjoy your journey.

Welcome Louise.  You'll find many here who are spiritual but feel uncomfortable in mainstream religions.  We don't all see the divine in the same way but we have more in common than not, at least most of the time.
You'll get a glimpse of many paths, mostly pagan but not all, and we enjpy sharing our insightis and observations.  Have fun, and feel free to ask quetions and tell us what you think in return.

Welcome to TCC, Louise.  Pay attention to the "stickied" threads, they contain a lot of information.  Feel free to ask questions if you don't understand something or can't find what you need.   Enjoy your journey.

No problem. Had that problem myself when my cat killed my old laptop.

Ironic, using water against an electronic when cats tend to dislike getting wet...smart cat, very~ smart indeed.
