Great pictures D. he looks like a friendly Viking. He could even be smiling, if his eye was not in danger. I like him. This is a silly
question ( alot of my questions are), but I'm seriously asking have you named him? Or is he just called the Viking in the wall.
I know I'm just showing my insanity, but I often name inanimate objects ;D like stones.

I'm not joking.

Blessings, marisol

I hadn't thought about giving him a name of his own, When I see him I always think "Odin". The reason being, I see an eye patch and we have a lot of Corvids visit the area.... I like Crows.

You are correct, and they would fly round the world Midgard (Earth) and return with news of all that went on... And his wolves were called Geri and Freki.

Speaking of Columbia, how about Columbia Pictures and the Lady who served as a kind of logo before the movie?  Roman head piece and all?  She resembles Minerva and I'm sure that's no mistake.

But what really fascinates me are the archetypes and synbols that aren't obvious.  Even Betty Crocker is almost a stand in for a grain or hearth goddess.

Ashe , what you see of Columbia picture logo is it current manifestation . It has had several over the decades . It current one is based on Lady Liberty . While she does look like Minerva almost a statues of Minerva show her with a shield and spear .

The scales that lawyers all have on their business cards go back to the statue on or in the courthouse.  Themis, a Greek g-ddess.  Well, technically a Titan, but you get the drift.

Uncle Sam is an egregore, but is there a deity behind the image?  A sovereign god?  Just brainstorming here...

Uncle Sam was what the troop in the war of called the barrel's of meat that were stamped U.S. The barrels of beef were given to the Army for free by a butcher as his part of the war effort . The Image of Uncle Sam was designed by Thomas Nast , who if you don't know was the same man that gave us the current image of Santa Claus.  Make you wonder , was not Santa and Magic man ?.

This is not a face, but a symbol I have never noticed before. There is an empty box sitting in front of me. A box we would buy
Wrangler boots in and on the front and each end are pentagrams. Interesting what we can see if we really look. Pentagrams
are everywhere around this area of the country, especially on barns.
