Your magical tools can pick up negative or unwanted energies over time. Below are four methods you can use to clear your tools of negative energies and restore them to their natural vibrant energy.
1. Place the items you want to cleanse in dry sea salt for up to 24 hours to clear them of unwanted energies. Some tools, like stones or crystals, can also be stored in sea salt to keep them from picking up negative energies from their surroundings.
2. The rays of the Sun or Moon can also be used to clear and recharge your tools. Place them outside or in a window where they can soak up the sunlight or moonlight. Some tools may fade in prolonged sun exposure. If you have any doubts at all, it may be best to use only moonlight cleansing.
3. Smudging is one of the fastest and easiest methods of clearing tools of unwanted energy. Simply pass your tool several times through the smoke of a smudge stick or incense. Favorite smudge sticks include cedar, sage and/or sweetgrass.
4. Some tools like crystals and stones can be buried in the soft Earth for 3 days to a week. You can bury them in your yard or in a flower pot. The Earth is a great cleanser and will naturally absorb any negative energy and neutralize it.
