Intuition is an important line of communication to the Divine. It’s the ability to know or sense something without the use of rational processes. This ability has also been referred to as a gut-feeling, your inner-voice, your higher-self, or even your guardian angel. The name you give this quiet voice within really doesn’t matter, as long as you understand that this is how the Divine often communicates with you. Learning to listen to and follow your intuition can provide you with the wisdom and guidance of a higher power as you face the challenges of everyday life.
So how important is it to have an open line of communication? In the military, a line of communication is used to connect a unit with its supply base. This open line is vital for military units to operate effectively. We may not be in the military, but we can’t avoid the mundane battles of daily life, and having an open line of communication to a higher power can be very helpful when it comes to getting supplies and reinforcements. But how do we make sure we have a reliable line of communication with the Divine?
Trust your intuition to help you understand what your inner voice is trying to tell you and allow it to watch for and read the signs the Divine is sending you. Too often we ignore our intuition and we miss these messages and signs. The Universe always responds to the energy we sent out, so if you are not getting the answers you expect, you may need to clarify your message or simply pay more attention to what your intuition is telling you.
Divine intuition is usually easy to identify. For example, a number of unfortunate events or roadblocks might be trying to tell you that you are headed in the wrong direction, while a fortunate coincidence can indicate you are on the right path.
There are two easy ways to confirm if an event is actually a Divine message. First, when something is right for you, you’ll feel good about the thoughts you are having and the idea will seem right. Second, if for any reason you are uncertain about the course you are meant to take, you can count on the Divine to send you multiple signs. The Goddess will encourage you with various reminders to gently turn you in the right direction. Multiple signs, along with positive thoughts and/or feelings about something, should leave little room for doubt that you’re on the right path.
When you are consistently watching for these signs and trusting your intuition or inner-voice, you have established an open line of communication with the Divine. At this point you might feel like the Universe is responding to you faster, but it may simply be that you have became a better listener!
